Q : WHY SHOULD I CHOOSE ECLIPSE ENTERTAINMENT?
A : Because I can offer you everything the big DJ companies can at a fraction of the cost. Because I can promise you first class customer service and attention to detail. Because I will help you in planning your event and I will work with you from day one until the last dance. Because I know my music and I know how to keep your guests entertained.


Q : WHAT DO YOU BASE YOUR PRICING ON?

A : I base my pricing on many factors. Unlike a lot of DJ services out there that have their rates etched in stone so to speak, I am able to be flexible and I’m willing to negotiate for most of the events I am asked to quote. I take into account the duration of the event, the size of the event, the time of year (peak season is May to September), the location of the event (although I only charge more if I have to travel more than 80 miles one way) and sometimes it just depends on the weather. So you see, it’s always better to call me to go over the details before I give you a price, and who knows, you may catch me in a generous mood  that day. 

Q : DO I HAVE TO PAY MORE FOR CERTAIN PACKAGES OR OPTIONS?

A : NO YOU DO NOT. When I give you a flat rate price that is IT and that includes all my speakers, all my music and all my lights. No extra charges for lighting options or to add another speaker or whatever. With me, you get it all.

Q : DO I HAVE TO PAY FOR SET UP AND BREAK DOWN OR FOR CONSULTATION?

A : No, no and most certainly not. I only charge you for the time I’m playing music or entertaining your guests and all pre-event consultation is free.

Q : WILL I GET TO DECIDE WHAT MUSIC YOU WILL PLAY?

A : Absolutely. I  will always consult with you to go over your musical likes and dislikes. If there is a certain genre you prefer over another and if there are certain songs that really want to hear then I will make sure they get played. If you are planning a wedding, then you get to choose all the songs for the intro’s, the first dance etc.etc.
And if it doesn’t really matter to you what I play and you’re only concerned about having a great time then leave it all to me and I will use my road tested, “can’t miss”, playlist

Q : DO YOU HAVE A BACK UP SYSTEM IN CASE SOMETHING BREAKS DOWN?
A : Yes I do. Although it is very rare that something goes wrong, like a good boy scout, I am always prepared.

Q : HOW MUCH INTERACTION WILL YOU HAVE WITH THE GUESTS?
A : That would depend on you how much you want me to. If you want me to just shut up and play the music, that is very easily done. If you want me to drag people out of their chairs to get them to dance or constantly interrupt the music with some off-the-cuff remark, then I’m afraid you may have to look elsewhere. To be honest with you, I’m not very big in the “cheesy factor”. At most events I will do some light interaction to get the dancing started and I will take part in some line dancing here and there but I tend to let the music be the entertainer and keep the spotlight on you, the guests of honor.

Q : WHAT WILL THE DJ WEAR AT MY EVENT?
A : It depends on the event. For formal events such as a wedding, I will wear a tuxedo. For less formal affairs I will wear a dress shirt and tie with dress pants and a button down vest. For more casual events, like a summertime backyard party, I will ask my clients for their approval to dress more casually, for example a pair of slacks and a Hawaiian shirt perhaps. No cut-off jeans and t-shirt here.


Q : DO I NEED TO SIGN A CONTRACT?
A : Due to the nature of the business, I require all of my clients to sign a contract a written contract. I feel it helps to protect both parties from any wrong doing.

Q : IS THERE A DEPOSIT REQUIRED?

A : There is a $200.00 deposit required at the signing of the contract.

Q : IS THE DEPOSIT REFUNDABLE?
A : The deposit is refundable for 30 days after the contract is signed and is non-refundable thereafter. If the contract is signed less than 30 days before the event date, the deposit is non-refundable. Should the DJ be unable to perform or has to cancel his obligation at any time, the deposit will be refunded in full.

Q : WHEN IS THE BALANCE DUE?
A : The balance is due no later than the day of the event. Usually, I ask my clients to pay me  the balance at the event before the festivities begin. My preferred method of payment is COLD HARD CASH although I will accept a personal check as long as there is a recognizable name on it. By that I mean someone who signed the contract or a relative of that person e.g., the parents of the bride or groom. For Corporations I will accept a company check. I will also accept PayPal payments but that should be made one week before the event date.

Q : DO I HAVE TO FEED THE DJ?
A : Well, while it’s always nice to get a free meal and your generosity is always appreciated, you are under no obligation to feed me. And if not, no worries, I won’t be offended but as a common courtesy please let me know in advance so I can plan accordingly.

Q : DO I HAVE TO TIP THE DJ?

A : Again, this is totally up to you. If you feel my performance exceeded your expectations and you’d like to express your gratitude, then a tip is always a great way to show your appreciation. A tip is NEVER expected.
