My name is Elmo Arcari and I own and operate Eclipse Entertainment. I am based in the northwest suburbs of Chicago but I consider my service area to be all of Chicago-land and Southern Wisconsin.
I have been DJ’ing in the area for over eight years and I have developed a great sense of what it takes to turn a simple party into an awesome event. Being a one man show gives me the opportunity to work with you from the first day you contact me to that moment when the house lights go up after the last dance, which is something you won’t find with many of the bigger DJ companies out there.

For me, being a DJ is not just about playing the music. It’s about making sure that you and your guests are enjoying the music. Nothing makes me feel better than seeing a dance floor filled to capacity with everyone smiling and having a great time or when I start a song and I hear screams of appreciation “Oh, I love this song.” That’s what gives me the greatest satisfaction.
And it’s not all about the music that I like. Because this is my company it allows me to be flexible with my playlists to suit the needs and tastes of my clients on an individual basis. Some clients might not care about what songs are played and leave it up to me to determine the playlist. Other clients may be much more particular about what songs or styles of music they want played and more importantly, what songs they do not want played. Either way, I am more than happy to accommodate your needs. As I remind all my clients, from the moment you sign that contract I am at your service. However, please don’t be offended if I try to talk you out of playing side 2 of “Dark Side of The Moon” over dinner. It’s not that I think I have better taste in music than you, it’s just that as I mentioned before, I’ve been doing this for a long time and I believe that I have worked out a surefire formula that will ensure you and your guests will have an awesome time.

DJ Elmo, at your service.
I will also be your Master of Ceremonies for your event which means I will handle all the formal announcements that you may require. You may notice a slight accent when you speak to me. That is because I was born in Scotland and I lived there until I was 17. I have lived in the Chicago area since 1981 so my brogue isn’t as strong as it used to be, but it still throws some people for a loop every now and again. I’ve even had guests play the “Guess where the DJ is From” game at parties which can be a lot of fun, for me at least. I also like to think I have a pretty good sense of humor but you may have noticed that already.
Also, another great thing about being my own boss means that I don’t have to answer to anyone “back at the office” which allows me to bend the so called rules here and there. If you want to have wacky introductions at your wedding reception, or plan some fun surprises at your event, that’s cool with me and I’ll be more than happy to help out where I can, as long as it’s all in good taste.
